On launch 'timelines.tv' covers all aspects of British history from 1066 to the present day. Clicking on any of the 50 existing chapter headings will connect you to a wealth of streamed video, broken into user-friendly clips (over 200 clips in all). Links enable you to chase connections across parallel timelines, and backwards and forwards across the centuries.

This project is very much a proof of concept where depending on funding we would like to greatly expand the content and interactivity.

Although only publicised to a small number of teaching academics, the feedback has been very promising; see below.

"Timelines.tv points the way to the future of learning History"

"A very high quality content resource in a very popular format (the timeline) and a pretty slick website to boot"

"This is a history lovers’ treasure trove."

"OH MY GOSH - FANTASTIC!"

"I think it’s a brillant site - I’ve used it with Year 7s and Year 12 pupils to good effect. I like the little slices. They help focus the pupils’ minds nicely."
