This series followed Fraser and Fraser, a firm of 'heir hunters', and some of their rivals, as they raced to match unclaimed estates with unsuspected heirs.

When someone dies without leaving a will and there's no known relative to inherit, Her Majesty's Treasury receives the money. Unless, that is, probate detectives can find previously unknown family members, within a limited timeframe.

It was our job to show each twist and turn to the investigation via large family trees. We constructed these large canvases in Adobe illustrator and then followed the animating neon lines which showed where the investigation currently lay. Sometimes however the probate team followed completely erroneous leads and the tree branches lead nowwhere.
