Adams Trainor have just completed a series of CGI sequences for production company Magic Carpet Films. The 3D sequences illustrate exactly what happens deep inside the human brain when drugs such as heroin and crack cocaine are taken. The films show, at a molecular level, the mechanism by which Dopamine and other chemicals are released into the synaptic gap between neurons – generating the feeling of intense pleasure that leads to addiction.
The models were built by Nicolas Borel using 3D max and the rendered sequences were then overlaid with tracked visual overlays in After Effects by Paul Trainor.
The sequences will be part of an educational, drugs awareness DVD commissioned jointly by the Oxford based charity SMART and the Oxfordshire Drugs Action Team
