'Broadband Science' series attempts to impart scientific fact by providing engaging real world science context for these studies. The elements of the electromagnetic spectrum are therefore examined in a medical context so that we see how Ultraviolet light is used in laser eye surgery and X-rays and radiotherapy detect and fight disease. The series also follows young participants engaged in drug trials and more.

We avoided the use of complex 3d views of medical science and instead opted for something that looked a bit more stylised, graphic and which might stream well over the internet.

We constructed the graphics in illustrator so that we could constantly zoom into detail without losing resolution and animated everything in Adobe After Effects. We were able to demonstrate double circulation in the human heart, how MRI scanners produce images via magnetism and diagrams to show how the arguments about the UK's energy provision stacks up.
